Memorial Day 2013

We love to wear our RED, WHITE, AND BLUE and say a huge THANK YOU to all the families that have had a loved one give his or her life for the freedom we and our future generations appreciate. Reading books that teach our kids what our freedom cost is crucial for them to gain understanding of America’s history and develop an attitude of gratitude instead entitlement or complacency. Memorial Day, observed on the last Monday in the month of May, is an American federal holiday that commemorates U.S. men and women who died while in the military service. Teach young children about Memorial Day through military themed books that are developmentally appropriate.
